Liza Finn2011 was a busy and successful year for this London songbird. After a year away from the music scene, spent writing and collaborating with industry songwriters and producers, Liza Finn has returned stronger than ever with her début EP, Perceptions. Liza’s conversational voice much like her American inspiration, Carole King, effortlessly weaves its way through rich melodies, describing the colourful highs and lows of love and life in these haunting live studio recordings. Liza’s performance is cunning, she draws you in slowly until you are mesmerised and caught in her world of observations. She is telling them to you like a friend would share their deepest secrets. Throughout 2011, Crossroads Films documented Liza’s journey as she prepared to launch her EP, resulting in an insightful documentary music film which no doubt contributed to her now festival filled summer. Booked to perform at Stowfest, Symmetry Festival and Austria’s renowned Worlds End Music Festival this summer will surely provide the springboard for Liza’s leap into the mainstream music world. |
